Camille has been involved with Legacy Planning Advisors (LPA) since its inception in 1991. She has had responsibilities in practically every aspect of operations, client acquisition and management. After obtaining her various securities registrations in 2002, Camille assumed the compliance responsibilities of the business, monitoring the various systems in place to assure all aspects of the business are compliant with our broker dealer and government regulators. As an Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ), Camille performs the duties necessary to document and conform to the high standards in our industry.
She also supports team members in whatever they may need outside of normal office demands. She may readily know the answer or is able to resolve it through extensive archival systems. LPA has over 1000 books that are now categorized and ready for checkout. Let Camille know if you would like to view the list! She works with the LPA technical team and computer consultants to solve issues that affect not only her processing capability, but for the entire company. Embracing LPA’s team focused environment, she fills in the gaps where needed and often implements and monitors new systems for specific needs that arise.
An Atlanta native, Camille received her BBA degree in management and accounting from Georgia State University and began her business career with the forerunner of CIGNA Corporation as a Field Support Intern in their policy processing division. Having relocated just prior to the merger of two large insurance companies, as the administrative arm her first job was to assist in the laying off long- term workers – a hard lesson to learn! Back in Atlanta, she was the accountant for a venture capital funded tech computer startup that developed the first talking computer. With a subsequent computer leasing company, she did the lease accounting for IBM mid-range systems. It was while working at a Wells Real Estate, a syndicator and early industry REIT sponsor, that she met her husband Jerry, a real estate investor at the time with multiple properties. They married right at the height of the mid-eighties tax law changes affecting property ownership! After a few years with a healthcare management company, she left the corporate world to help Jerry design and implement systems and procedures for his growing consulting business, aside from her day to day processing and client relations duties.
A breast cancer survivor, Camille volunteers her time and vast holistic resources gathered over her recovery period to educate, counsel and inspire other affected women to set goals, achieve a healthy lifestyle and to develop a positive mental spirit. Her Stephens Minister training has helped with this passion. She is several years into Bible Study Fellowship, where working women can learn spiritual truth in a structured weekday evening program. She also volunteers at her church to host special and seasonal events. A recent discipleship project had her group “adopt” a homeless single mom with two young children. When the church gave this young woman a car so she could get a job, Camille taught her to drive.
In her spare time Camille enjoys motorcycling with Jerry in the mountains, travel to foreign lands, and helping their two children settle into life after college. She has found out that being an empty nester definitely has its advantages! She welcomes the opportunity to use her well-earned free time assisting LPA’s clients to achieve their legacies as they travel through life, and takes pride in being able to use her well-rounded experience to navigate uncharted waters for clients and for LPA.
