Jerry Black

Jerry Black is Managing Principal of Legacy Planning Group, Inc., located in Suwanee, GA. Jerry is also a Founding Equity Member of The Stewardship Alliance; an organization committed to innovation and impact for the cause of Christ and bringing about change in the world of Stewardship. He has an incredible passion for the work he does and especially for his clients whom he serves. He believes that it is extremely important to know what is important to his clients and why, in order to better shepherd them along the way. Jerry is experienced in focusing his practice in estate planning, the family dynamics of estate planning, family wealth counseling, and whole life stewardship. Jerry is also a Qualified Member of Kingdom Advisors and the recipient of its 2008 Practice Management Award*.

 
Jerry is an elder at Perimeter Church in Duluth, GA and resides in Suwanee, GA with his wife Camille and two children, Andrew and Lesley. He has also been a Crown Ministries leader since 1992 and has served as the Director of Estate Planning Ministry at Perimeter Church for ten years.

Camille Black

Camille has been involved with Legacy Planning Group since its inception in 1991. She has had responsibilities in practically every aspect of operations, client acquisition and management. After obtaining her various securities registrations in 2002, Camille assumed the compliance responsibilities of the business, monitoring the various systems in place to assure all aspects of the business are compliant with our broker dealer and government regulators. As an Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ), Camille performs the duties necessary to document and conform to the high standards in our industry. After receiving a BBA in Management from Georgia State University, she has worked in the insurance, computer and healthcare fields. In her spare time Camille enjoys motorcycling with Jerry in the mountains, travel and being a Stephens Minister at her church.

 

David Crust

David joined Legacy Planning Group in 2000.  David's passion is to help and educate our clients become better stewards with the three primary resources God has entrusted to us all; time, talents and treasure. Presently, David oversees the planning work as well as the daily operations of the firm. David grew up in Orlando, FL, one of three boys reared by Christian parents.  He graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) and subsequently, Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, earning his MBA degree with an emphasis in Finance.  In 1989, David moved to Atlanta, Georgia and shortly thereafter married his wife, Gail, with whom he has three children.In his spare time, David enjoys reading, working out at the gym and bike riding.

 

Chris Cushman

Chris joined Legacy Planning Group in January, 2007 after graduating from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. While working for a large corporate financial firm, Chris realized a smaller firm providing more personalized financial counseling was better suited for him. Using his gifts of problem solving and number analysis, he enjoys helping people discover the path they need take in order to succeed. Chris is insurance licensed and also obtained his Certified Financial Planner CFP® designation in 2009. He attends Grace North Atlanta and enjoys playing golf on a beautiful day.

 

Ed Kerns

Ed joined Legacy Planning Group in 2010 and brings with him over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry.  Most recently, Ed worked with the Halftime® organization where he gained valuable experience delivering resources, ideas, and experiences to financial advisors and their high net-worth clients.  Ed is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive wealth management solutions to business owners, professionals, and high net worth individuals.  He is currently a candidate for CFP® certification having completed The Executive Program for CFP® Certification at the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business and is a 1993 graduate of Virginia Military Institute with a degree in Economics. Ed attends the Buckhead Church and volunteers for the Hope Ministry.  

 

Susan Cowan

Susan came to Legacy Planning Group in October 2007.  She holds a Masters degree in Counseling from Indiana University and previously worked in the fields of insurance and hospital administration.  Susan will be your first point of contact at Legacy Planning Group.  She schedules meetings and other appointments, handles the office and Principal's calendar, maintains the database, produces and distributes LPG newsletters and other informational mailings, and arranges special client events, seminars, and workshops.  She has a sincere desire to develop an enduring heartfelt relationship with clients and their families by soliciting and honoring prayer requests.  Susan and her husband are the parents of two teenage boys, and she spends much of her time cheering them on at their hockey games.

 

Jen Hester

Jen joined the Legacy team in October of 2007. She graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in English. Having spent the majority of her career in Human Resources, Jen enjoys interacting and assisting clients through various phases of their implementation process. From Financial DNA, to establishing and transferring accounts, to processing financial requests and compiling performance data, Jen strives to provide a superior client service experience. She is also Legacy’s in-house technology expert lending her skills to the website creation, its maintenance, and managing the CRM system. When she is not working Jen enjoys singing, playing with her daughter Isabella and her chocolate lab Cocoa.


Chasity Williams

Chasity is the newest member to the Legacy team. She is a Business Management major at Brenau University Women’s College for the class of 2011. She has worked primarily in positions of administrative support for sales and customer service related industries. She enjoys interacting with clients and providing support to the team at Legacy.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family and attending Turner Chapel AME church in Marietta, GA.
